Judicial Commission to Decide on Judge Appointments, Military Court Case Today

ISLAMABAD, Dec 6 (Alliance News): Judicial Commission to Discuss Judge Appointments and Military Court Case Today

The Judicial Commission, led by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, is set to hold two crucial meetings today.

The first meeting will focus on the possible inclusion of Justice Shahid Bilal in the Constitutional Bench. This move comes following a request from the bench to replace Justice Ayesha Malik in the ongoing military courts case.

The second meeting will address the appointment of judges in the Peshawar and Sindh High Courts, aiming to fill vacancies and strengthen the judiciary’s functioning.

Notably, Supreme Court Senior Judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah wrote two letters yesterday, one to the Chief Justice and another to the Judicial Commission, requesting a postponement of today’s meetings.
