ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (Alliance News): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that by-elections for the NA-262 Quetta-I seat, vacated following the disqualification of Adil Khan Bazai, will be held on January 16, 2025.
According to the schedule, a public notice will be issued on December 2, with nomination papers to be submitted to the returning officer from December 4 to 6.
The names of nominated candidates will be published on December 7, while the scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled for December 12.
Candidates wishing to appeal against the acceptance or rejection of their papers can do so by December 16, with election tribunals set to decide on these appeals by December 21.
The revised list of candidates will be published on December 22, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until December 23.
The final list, along with election symbols, will be issued on December 24. Polling for the seat will take place on January 16, ensuring the constituency of Quetta-I has its representation restored.
