ISLAMABAD, Oct 8 (Alliance News): Pakistan is making strides in digital development with plans to establish cutting-edge IT parks that will serve as hubs for young professionals to implement innovative ideas and contribute to the national economy.
An official from the Ministry of Information Technology shared that these parks will generate employment, attract foreign investment, and boost the country’s IT exports once fully operational.
A significant project is underway in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad, with support from Korea. The Rs 13.72 billion IT park will span 66,893 square meters and accommodate 120 start-ups, along with facilities such as testing labs, classrooms, and an auditorium.
This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s ‘Digital Pakistan’ vision, aiming to elevate Pakistan’s IT exports to $25 billion.
