ISLAMABAD, Jan 24 (Alliance News): The Minister of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan, Vugar Mustafayev, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Friday to reinforce bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, both leaders emphasized their shared commitment to diversifying cooperation in areas such as trade, energy, investment, and defense, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed satisfaction with the growing trajectory of bilateral collaboration and highlighted its strategic importance.
The Azerbaijani minister extended his gratitude for the warm hospitality provided by Pakistan to him and his delegation.
Mustafayev is in Islamabad to co-chair the 8th Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, held from January 23-24, 2025. The JMC serves as a platform for enhancing cooperation in various sectors.
The visit marks another step forward in the strengthening of relations between the two nations, with a focus on mutual development and shared prosperity.
