ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (Alliance News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Turkiye’s Minister of Defense, Yasar Guler, in Istanbul on Wednesday to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting took place during the International Expo and emphasized strengthening ties across various sectors.
Minister Guler expressed appreciation for Minister Naqvi’s participation in the Expo, noting its importance for fostering international partnerships. In return, Minister Naqvi invited Guler to attend Pakistan’s Ideas Expo, which aims to showcase regional innovations.
Discussions covered a range of topics, including trade expansion, with a specific focus on increasing meat exports from Pakistan to Turkiye.
The Turkish side assured full support for facilitating these exports, reflecting Turkiye’s interest in bolstering trade with Pakistan.
Both ministers emphasized the importance of regular mutual visits and ongoing dialogue to sustain and deepen bilateral relations. Minister Naqvi praised Turkiye’s exemplary organization of the Expo, calling it a platform for showcasing achievements and innovations.
The meeting, attended by senior Turkish officials and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkiye, Dr. Yusuf Jind, further highlighted the high-level diplomatic commitment between the two nations.
