Pakistan Calls on Afghanistan to Act Against Terror Threats

ISLAMABAD, Nov 14 (Alliance News) – Pakistan has urged Afghan authorities to take decisive action against terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil.

Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated during her weekly briefing that Afghanistan should address Pakistan’s repeated concerns and not test the patience of the Pakistani people.

She noted that other regional groups, including the Moscow Format and Neighboring Countries Format, also emphasize Afghanistan’s responsibility to prevent terror activities that threaten Pakistan and other neighboring countries.

Addressing other issues, the spokesperson dismissed reports of a joint Pakistan-China security mechanism as speculative, affirming that Pakistan and China maintain robust cooperation based on mutual respect.

She highlighted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s participation in the UN Climate Summit in Baku, where Pakistan addressed climate finance, glacier preservation, and early warning systems.

She also mentioned Pakistan’s support for a resolution from the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, calling for international sanctions on Israel due to its actions in Gaza and the Middle East.

The spokesperson also expressed Pakistan’s ongoing concerns regarding Kashmir, urging India to release political prisoners and respect human rights.

Additionally, she shared news of the upcoming visit of Russian Envoy Zamir Kabulov to discuss Afghan stability and regional peace.
