ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (Alliance News): Pakistan on Thursday strongly condemned Israeli forces for their attack on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon and denounced the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza as a severe breach of human rights.
Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, addressing her weekly press briefing, expressed Pakistan’s unequivocal condemnation of the indiscriminate Israeli airstrikes on Beit Lahia, which claimed over 80 Palestinian lives, including women and children.
She called these strikes “war crimes,” pointing to the targeting of densely populated areas and the deprivation of essential supplies like food and medicine.
Additionally, Pakistan condemned Israel’s attack on UN peacekeepers with the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and urged the international community to take immediate action to stop Israeli aggression against both Lebanon and Palestine.
Baloch further highlighted that October 27 would be observed as ‘Black Day’ in Pakistan, marking 77 years since Indian troops landed in Srinagar, in solidarity with Kashmiris who continue to fight for their right to self-determination.
The spokesperson also updated the media on Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s engagements in Samoa, where he attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to inclusive development and the Sustainable Development Goals.
