Pakistan Condemns Israel’s Blockade of Gaza, Calls for Unrestricted Humanitarian Aid

ISLAMABAD, March 13 (Alliance News): Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid and power supply to Gaza, calling it a deliberate attempt to weaponize aid and dehumanize the Palestinian people.

Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, during his weekly briefing, denounced the ongoing Israeli assaults in Gaza and the West Bank, which have resulted in the tragic loss of innocent lives, including women and children.

He also criticized Israeli attempts to dismantle humanitarian agencies like the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities, protection of civilians, and unrestricted humanitarian access, Pakistan urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for war crimes.

Separately, the spokesperson condemned India’s decision to declare the ‘Awami Action Committee’ and ‘Jammu and Kashmir Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen’ as unlawful organizations for five years, calling it a blatant attempt to suppress Kashmiri political voices.

Shafqat Khan also briefed the media on Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s participation in the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Extraordinary Session in Jeddah on March 7, where he reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine, rejecting any resettlement plans and advocating for a sovereign Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
