ISLAMABAD, May 8 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, while addressing the National Assembly, said that a strong example of patriotism has been set in Pakistan, as the nation stands united with its armed forces.
He stated that India’s recent aggression was met with a decisive and effective response, resulting in defeat for the enemy on all fronts.
Tarar noted that the Indian attack came under the cover of darkness, but Pakistan’s robust defense system and courageous air force personnel crushed India’s pride. He said India’s much-hyped Rafale jets were neutralized by the Pakistan Air Force, which shattered Indian morale.
Referring to past tensions, he remarked, “Last time, India was served fantastic tea; this time, it was home-delivered.” He added that multiple enemy drones had been shot down and would be displayed in museums as a symbol of Pakistan’s military achievement.
The minister condemned India for targeting civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC), adding that Pakistan responded swiftly and accurately, even targeting an enemy brigade headquarters—a significant strategic success.
He criticized India for using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext to attack Pakistani citizens without any investigation and confirmed that the National Security Committee had granted full authority to the armed forces to respond to Indian aggression.
Commenting on Indian media coverage, Tarar said even Indian outlets were now displaying the wreckage of downed Rafale jets, which he described as undeniable evidence of Pakistan’s victory. He further condemned India’s targeting of Sikh religious sites, saying the Sikh community had rejected New Delhi’s aggression.
He concluded by assuring the National Assembly that Pakistan’s defense lies in safe and capable hands, and that the global community has taken note of India’s hostile actions.
