Pakistan, Hong Kong Leaders Stress Stronger Economic and Diplomatic Ties

ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (Alliance News): Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chief Executive John K C Lee held a productive meeting on Tuesday, underscoring the need for enhanced economic and diplomatic cooperation between the two regions.

According to a press release from Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance, the leaders discussed expanding ties in key sectors such as finance, technology, and tourism.

Senator Aurangzeb highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to deepening relations and emphasized shared values and interests as a foundation for closer collaboration.

Chief Executive Lee welcomed Aurangzeb’s visit, expressing strong support for fostering partnerships aimed at economic growth, innovation, and cultural exchanges. Both leaders agreed on the potential for mutual growth through strengthened trade and investment opportunities.

The meeting, attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Beijing, Khaleel Hashmi, and Consul General in Hong Kong, Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, marked a mutual resolve to explore meaningful engagement and advance bilateral relations.
