Pakistani Community in Malaysia Celebrates 78th Independence Day

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Alliance News): The Pakistan High Commission in Malaysia hosted a flag-hoisting ceremony on Wednesday to celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. The event was led by Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Malaysia.

The ceremony saw participation from people of various nationalities, including Pakistanis, Malaysians, and others. Many attendees, dressed in green and white, gathered at the High Commission to show their love and solidarity with Pakistan.

In his speech, High Commissioner Syed Ahsan Raza Shah honored the sacrifices of Pakistan’s forefathers and reaffirmed the commitment to work for the country’s progress and prosperity. He highlighted that over 200,000 Pakistanis currently reside in Malaysia and assured that the High Commission is dedicated to addressing their issues. He also urged the community to respect the laws of the host country and uphold Pakistan’s good name.

The ceremony was attended by officials from the High Commission, including Deputy Head of Mission Rajeel Mohsin, Counsellor Political Sugra Habib, Second Secretary Hafiz Muhammad Amir Hassan, and Deputy Defence Advisor Commodore Javed Iqbal Khan Niazi, along with members of the Pakistani community.
