Pakistan, Russia to Enhance Cooperation in Counter-Terrorism, Anti-Narcotics

ISLAMABAD, Feb 25 (Alliance News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Russian Ambassador Albert P. Khorev in Islamabad to discuss bilateral relations and areas of mutual interest, particularly counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics cooperation.

Both sides agreed to activate the counter-terrorism dialogue between Pakistan and Russia and enhance the exchange of delegations to strengthen ties. The Russian ambassador invited Pakistani officials to participate in specialized anti-narcotics training programs in Moscow and Siberia.

Minister Naqvi emphasized that terrorism is a global challenge requiring collective efforts and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Russia. He highlighted the vast opportunities for bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
