JEDDAH, March 20 (Alliance News): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their commitment to elevating their bilateral partnership and strengthening defense and security cooperation, emphasizing joint efforts to address regional security challenges.
The discussions took place during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
The Pakistani delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, accompanied the prime minister on his four-day visit to the Kingdom.
Both leaders discussed expanding cooperation in economic, trade, investment, energy, and defense sectors. The Saudi Crown Prince acknowledged the contributions of Pakistani expatriates and agreed to introduce measures for their welfare.
The two leaders also emphasized people-to-people ties, cultural exchanges, and educational collaboration.
Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to increasing investments in Pakistan, which he said would boost economic growth and stability.
The leaders held in-depth discussions on the regional geopolitical landscape and agreed to collaborate closely for peace, stability, and prosperity.
Reaffirming their commitment to a stronger Pakistan-Saudi partnership, the two leaders emphasized mutual respect, shared interests, and a common vision for progress.
