ISLAMABAD, April 24 (Alliance News): Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry held a meeting with a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates to discuss strengthening collaboration in the fight against drug trafficking and boosting information sharing between the two countries.
The UAE delegation comprised Drug Liaison Officer Muhammad Ali Saeed, Deputy Nasir Al-Tali, and Assistant Muhammad Saeed. Both sides reviewed ongoing anti-narcotics efforts and stressed the importance of deeper coordination to tackle smuggling and related transnational crimes.
It was agreed to enhance cooperation in joint anti-drug operations and expand intelligence sharing to improve the effectiveness of collaborative measures.
The UAE officials expressed confidence that sustained dialogue and participation in regional forums, such as the recent GCC conference, would further strengthen collective efforts.
Minister Talal Chaudhry thanked the UAE delegation for their active involvement in the GCC conference and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to working with international partners to eliminate the threat of narcotics trafficking.
