ISLAMABAD, Oct 7 (Alliance News): As the first anniversary of Israel’s brutal war in Palestine approaches on October 7, with nearly 42,000 Palestinian casualties, Pakistan has called on the United Nations Security Council to take decisive action.
The Foreign Office strongly condemned Israel’s war crimes, urging an immediate ceasefire to protect the people of Gaza.
Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, in her weekly briefing, highlighted Israel’s horrific attacks on civilians, including airstrikes on hospitals, schools, and shelters. She also called for Israel to be held accountable for its war crimes and crimes against humanity.
In addition to the Gaza conflict, the spokesperson addressed Pakistan’s upcoming role as host of the 23rd SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting on October 15-16, 2024, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presiding.
Furthermore, Pakistan strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack near Karachi airport, which claimed the lives of two Chinese engineers, reaffirming the country’s commitment to securing Chinese nationals and projects.
Baloch also expressed concern over India’s continued suppression in Kashmir and urged the release of JKLF leader Yasin Malik.
