ISLAMABAD, July 15 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced on Monday that the government is committed to investing in modern skills and professional education for the youth.
In a message for World Youth Skills Day, the Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan’s greatest asset is its talented youth. He stressed the importance of equipping young people with modern skills to secure the country’s future.
The government is focused on providing modern education, equal development opportunities, and professional training to help the youth compete globally. The Prime Minister reiterated plans to send 300,000 young people for vocational training in information technology and 1,000 for modern agriculture training in China.
Special priority is being given to women and youth from remote and underdeveloped areas. National programs in information technology are already benefiting millions of students in and outside Pakistan.
Reforms are also being implemented in institutions under the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC). The government, in collaboration with NAVTTC, is ensuring that thousands of young people receive marketable skills and professional training.
The Prime Minister assured that the government will continue to provide modern skills and professional training to the youth to ensure their development and dignified employment across various fields.
