PM Shehbaz Announces Establishment of Anti-Riots Force to Ensure Law and Order

ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the creation of an Anti-Riots Force across the country, including Islamabad, to prevent violence and unrest during future demonstrations.

The force will be trained to meet international standards and equipped with necessary tools to maintain public order.

Chairing a high-level meeting on law and order, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for strict legal action against individuals damaging public and private property or using weapons during protests.

Comprehensive Strategy to Prevent Unrest
The Prime Minister instructed officials to develop a strategy to deter future attempts to march on Islamabad or other cities for personal or political motives.

He condemned the violent tactics used in recent protests, which led to injuries and deaths among security personnel.

Accountability and Economic Impacts
Shehbaz Sharif criticized those responsible for the unrest, stating their actions caused significant economic losses and disrupted national stability.

He noted that after dispersing disruptive groups, the stock exchange saw a sharp recovery, crossing the 100,000-point mark.

Tribute to Security Forces
The Prime Minister paid tribute to security personnel who were injured or martyred while defending the nation during recent violent protests. He emphasized improving the prosecution system to ensure those inciting chaos are held accountable.

Call for Justice
Shehbaz Sharif vowed to bring the masterminds behind the unrest to justice, accusing them of attempting to destabilize the country for personal gain.

The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema and Attaullah Tarar, Advisor Rana Sanaullah, the Attorney General, and senior officials.
