PM Shehbaz Arrives in Quetta for Security Review Amid Rising Concerns

QUETTA, March 13 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on a one-day visit to assess the security situation in Balochistan.

He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Nawabzada Mir Khalid Magsi, and other officials.

Upon arrival at Quetta Airport, the premier was received by Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir, Inspector General of Police, and senior government officials.

During his visit, PM Shehbaz will chair a high-level meeting to review the law and order situation, with a particular focus on the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express. Officials will brief him on security challenges and measures being taken to curb terrorism in the province.
