ISLAMABAD, Dec 3 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday for a two-day visit to attend the “One Water Summit,” an international initiative focused on global water resource management.
Accompanied by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the PM Tariq Fatemi, the prime minister’s visit aims to represent Pakistan at the Summit organized by Saudi Arabia, France, Kazakhstan, and the World Bank.
During the Summit, PM Shehbaz will deliver a keynote address emphasizing Pakistan’s efforts in water conservation, climate resilience, wetland preservation, and biodiversity protection.
He will highlight measures to tackle climate-induced challenges, such as floods, erratic weather, and heat stress, while stressing the importance of global cooperation for sustainable water resource management.
The prime minister is also expected to participate in bilateral meetings and engagements on the sidelines of the event, furthering Pakistan’s commitment to addressing water and climate-related issues.
