PM Shehbaz Hails $20 Billion World Bank Partnership for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Jan 15 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the World Bank’s landmark pledge of $20 billion under its inaugural 10-year Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Pakistan, describing it as a reflection of the country’s economic resilience and growth potential.

In a social media post shared on his X timeline, the premier outlined that the CPF focuses on six critical areas: child nutrition, quality education, clean energy, climate resilience, inclusive development, and private sector investment.

He emphasized that these priorities align with Pakistan’s Home Grown Economic Transformation Plan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed his gratitude for the relentless efforts of Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and other officials in facilitating transformative partnerships to strengthen Pakistan’s economic foundation.

“CPF reflects the World Bank’s confidence in Pakistan’s economic resilience and potential. We look forward to strengthening our partnership as we align our efforts for creating lasting opportunities for our people,” he stated.
