ISLAMABAD, Aug 26 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday commended former Squash World Champion and British Open winner Jansher Khan for his outstanding contributions to the sport.
During a meeting with the eight-time Squash World Champion and six-time British Open Champion, the prime minister expressed pride in Jansher Khan’s achievements, highlighting his role in popularizing squash and bringing honor to Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz acknowledged Jansher Khan’s significant impact on promoting squash within the country, stating that the entire nation is proud of his accomplishments. He emphasized that the government is committed to enhancing the sports sector in Pakistan and is taking concrete steps to provide top-notch facilities for athletes.
The prime minister also directed relevant authorities to ensure that all necessary measures are taken for the former champion’s treatment.
