ISLAMABAD, Oct 1 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday congratulated Abdelmadjid Tebboune on his re-election as the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
In a message shared on his X account, the prime minister expressed his eagerness to continue working closely with Tebboune to strengthen Pakistan-Algeria relations, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as trade and investment.
According to media reports citing Algeria’s electoral authority, ANIE, Tebboune was re-elected for a five-year term with nearly 95% of the vote. His opponents, Abdelaali Hassani, secured 3.17% of the vote, while Youcef Aouchiche garnered 2.16%.
