ISLAMABAD, Oct 3 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday commended Dr. Zakir Naik for his significant contributions in spreading the true teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith, while promoting Islamic values worldwide.
During a meeting with Dr. Zakir Naik, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly acknowledged his scholarly work and the impact of his lectures, which have resonated particularly with the youth.
He expressed pride in Dr. Naik’s dedication to presenting the real image of Islam globally and noted that he personally benefited from his teachings.
The prime minister remarked on the admiration the people of Pakistan hold for Dr. Naik, while appreciating his son’s continued efforts in serving Islam.
Shehbaz Sharif also recalled a meeting with Dr. Naik in 2006 and expressed delight over his presence in Pakistan.
In his response, Dr. Zakir Naik emphasized that Pakistan is unique in being founded on Islamic principles and reiterated his commitment to spreading the message of Islam globally.
Reflecting on his last visit to Pakistan in 1991, Dr. Naik shared his fond memories and mentioned his plans to visit Karachi and Lahore.
