ISLAMABAD, Dec 10 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of enhancing economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar to transform bilateral ties into mutually beneficial partnerships.
Speaking at a reception marking Qatar’s National Day, hosted by the Qatari Embassy in Islamabad, the Prime Minister expressed anticipation for the Emir of Qatar’s upcoming visit to Pakistan, which he said would strengthen brotherly relations and foster investment opportunities.
Shehbaz Sharif praised Qatar’s openness to engaging Pakistani youth skilled in information technology and artificial intelligence, highlighting plans to send talented professionals to Qatar as ambassadors of Pakistan’s potential.
The Prime Minister extended his felicitations to the Qatari nation and its Emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, acknowledging the remarkable progress achieved under his dynamic leadership.
He also lauded Qatar’s successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup and commended its efforts in showcasing Pakistan’s cultural heritage through the “Manzar: Art and Architecture of Pakistan” exhibition at the National Museum of Qatar.
Concluding his address, PM Shehbaz updated the audience on his recent discussions with his Lebanese counterpart, who assured assistance in evacuating 250 Pakistani pilgrims stranded in Damascus via a safe land route.
