PM Shehbaz Vows to Make Terrorists an Example for National Prosperity

ISLAMABAD, Aug 30 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday emphasized that both the government and armed forces are determined to eradicate terrorism to ensure Pakistan’s journey towards progress and prosperity.

“This is certain—the armed forces and law enforcement agencies will make the terrorists an example. Without this, our country’s progress and prosperity cannot be achieved. We stand united in thought and action,” the Prime Minister stated during a federal cabinet meeting he chaired.

During his visit to Quetta on Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz noted that the provincial government and political leaders unanimously rejected any notion of negotiating with anti-state elements. Despite their grief, the families of martyrs he met were resolute in their morale.

The Prime Minister assured that the federal government would implement the proposals put forward by Balochistan’s political leaders.

He also highlighted the challenges Balochistan faces, as presented by the Quetta Corps Commander, and the efforts being made to counter the foreign-funded terrorists who spread hatred among the people.

The government is also actively engaging the youth to protect them from anti-state influences, including a 10% additional quota for Balochistan in various national schemes like laptop distribution and agricultural training in China.

Moreover, the federal government has allocated Rs55 billion to solarize agricultural tube wells in Balochistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also mentioned that Moody’s recent upgrade of Pakistan’s rating is a positive step but emphasized the need for continued efforts to improve the economy.

The Prime Minister announced that the federal government would soon unveil a five-year Home Grown Economic Revival Plan to boost exports, agriculture, industry, and vocational training. “We must move forward. Nations that work hard and face challenges head-on achieve greatness. Pakistan will soon achieve economic independence and emerge as an economic power,” he affirmed.
