Islamabad, Aug 27 (Alliance News): President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday honored General Li Qiaoming, Commander of the Ground Forces of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA), with the Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military).
The award, one of Pakistan’s highest military honors, was given in recognition of General Li’s outstanding service and significant contributions to strengthening defense ties between Pakistan and China.
The special ceremony took place at Aiwan-e-Sadr, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, military leaders, diplomats, and parliamentarians in attendance.
The citation praised General Li for his leadership, dedication, and professional excellence throughout his over 40-year military career. His efforts in enhancing military cooperation between Pakistan and China were particularly highlighted.
General Li Qiaoming’s work in promoting peace and stability, both within China and internationally, has earned him widespread respect. His commitment to deepening the military relationship between Pakistan and China has played a vital role in advancing the partnership between the two nations.
In recognition of these efforts, President Zardari awarded General Li the Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military).
