ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (Alliance News): Pakistan’s largest telecommunications provider, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), has partnered with global telecom giant China Mobile International Limited (CMI) to share global network resources at GITEX Global 2024.
This collaboration aims to enhance connectivity for customers both in Pakistan and around the world. The agreement was signed by Waqar Ahmed, Group Director of Enterprise Solutions at PTCL & Ufone 4G, and Alex Lee, Managing Director of China Mobile International Middle East, in the presence of investors, innovators, business leaders, and top management from both companies.
This historic partnership combines PTCL’s extensive fiber network, which spans over 65,000 kilometers across Pakistan, with CMI’s global presence, which includes 305 overseas Points of Presence (PoPs). The integration of these networks is expected to provide seamless and high-quality connectivity solutions for both businesses and individual consumers.
Sayyed Muhammad Imran Ali, Group VP of B2B Strategy & Product Management at PTCL & Ufone 4G, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating, “We are glad to partner with one of the leading operators to further strengthen the country’s footprint in the digital landscape.
