ISLAMABAD, Jan 28 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif administered the oath to the 3rd batch of the National Youth Council (NYC) at the inaugural session of the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance Summit 2025 on Tuesday.
A total of 113 members from 41 cities across Pakistan were selected for the NYC, representing diverse backgrounds, including individuals from all provinces, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and tribal areas.
The new batch comprises 49 boys, 49 girls, two transgender individuals, and 13 candidates from the overseas diaspora, all selected through a transparent electoral process.
The NYC will serve as an advisory body to the Prime Minister on youth affairs. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is the Patron-in-Chief of the council, while Rana Mashhood, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, serves as its Chairperson.
