MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 05 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir remains a key issue in Pakistan’s foreign policy and vowed continued support until its resolution.
Speaking to a delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Wednesday, he assured that Pakistan will stand by its Kashmiri brothers and sisters with moral, diplomatic, and political support.
“The sacrifices of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination will not go in vain,” he said, urging the international community to take action against Indian aggression and human rights violations in Kashmir.
The Prime Minister instructed Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Engineer Amir Muqam to devise a strategy to address the concerns of Kashmiri refugees in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The APHC leaders expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and the government for their steadfast solidarity and praised Pakistan’s continued efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue on global platforms, including the United Nations.
The meeting was attended by Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, Speaker of the AJK Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar, and Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Engineer Amir Muqam, and Attaullah Tarar.
Kashmiri leaders Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Advocate Parvez, Ijaz Rahmani, Syed Gulshan, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Shaheen Iqbal, Mushtaq Ahmed, Khurshid Ahmed Khan, and Raja Khadim Hussain Shaheen were also present.
