ISLAMABAD, Oct 03 (Alliance News): Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his Malaysian counterpart, Anwar Ibrahim, are holding talks today in Islamabad to enhance bilateral cooperation and deepen the 67-year-old friendship between the two nations.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, along with a high-level delegation comprising ministers, deputy ministers, and senior officials, arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday for a three-day visit.
The discussions are focused on a range of areas including trade, connectivity, energy, agriculture, halal industry, tourism, cultural exchanges, and fostering people-to-people contacts.
Upon Ibrahim’s arrival, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a warm welcome at the airport, later writing on X (formerly Twitter) about his anticipation for productive discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. “Together, let’s forge a brighter future for Pakistan and Malaysia,” Shehbaz said.
Prime Minister Ibrahim also expressed enthusiasm about the visit on X, emphasizing that it was intended to deepen the longstanding friendship and foster new opportunities for multi-sector cooperation between the two countries.
