ISLAMABAD, April 29 (Alliance News): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended his heartfelt congratulations on Tuesday to Mark Joseph Carney on his election as the Prime Minister of Canada.
He also congratulated the Liberal Party on their victory in the recently held federal elections.
“Congratulations to Mark J. Carney on his election as the Prime Minister of Canada, and to the Liberal Party on their success in the recently held elections.
Pakistan and Canada enjoy warm and friendly relations, and we are proud of the vibrant Pakistani diaspora in Canada,” the Prime Minister posted on his official X handle.
PM Sharif expressed his enthusiasm for working closely with Prime Minister Carney to strengthen bilateral ties and create new opportunities for both nations.
According to projections made by Canadian broadcasters on Tuesday, the Liberal Party emerged victorious in Canada’s federal election, while opposition leader Pierre Poilievre conceded defeat.
