RAWALPINDI, Sept 5 (Alliance News) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed strong confidence in the operational readiness of the Pakistan Army during a concluding session of the Army War Game on Thursday.
He highlighted the crucial role of the armed forces in maintaining strategic stability in the region and ensuring peace in the nuclearized landscape of South Asia.
Attending the session, the Prime Minister was briefed on the comprehensive outcomes of the wargame and the Army’s readiness across various threat scenarios.
Sharif commended the Army’s innovative strategies and structural reforms designed to bolster Pakistan’s deterrence capabilities. These measures aim to impose significant costs on any potential aggressor.
The military leadership reaffirmed its commitment to protecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasizing their awareness of current security challenges. The Army remains dedicated to enhancing its capabilities to counter any aggressive threats.
The session was attended by federal ministers for defense, finance, and information, along with the Chief of Army Staff and senior military officials.
