ISLAMABAD, Oct 7 (Alliance News): Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, expressed unwavering solidarity with Palestinians facing Israeli aggression in Palestine and Gaza.
In a statement on the “Day of Solidarity with Palestine,” celebrated across Pakistan on October 7, 2024, Sadiq condemned the ongoing Israeli actions, calling them a violation of United Nations resolutions and the UN Charter.
Sadiq lamented the continued suffering of Palestinians, highlighting that over 42,000 individuals, including children, women, and the elderly, have been killed due to Israeli bombardment of civilian areas such as schools and hospitals.
He condemned the illegal blockades imposed by Israel, which have prevented access to medical care, causing further deaths.
The Speaker called for the United Nations to intervene immediately to halt what he referred to as the “Palestinian Genocide” and establish a ceasefire.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s demand for an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.
Sadiq emphasized the need for resolving the Palestine and Kashmir issues to secure durable peace in the region.
He further condemned Israel’s recent bombings in Lebanon, calling them a threat to regional stability and urging the international community to act against Israeli state terrorism.
