ISLAMABAD, January 24 (Alliance News): A dinner reception in honor of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was hosted by US Congressmen during his visit to the United States.
The event was organized by Congressman Henry Cuellar and Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Chair of the Financial Services Committee.
Discussions during the reception focused on mutual interests and strengthening Pak-US bilateral relations.
Topics included Pakistan’s economy and its ongoing International Monetary Fund (IMF) program. Both sides underscored the importance of increasing bilateral engagements to further enhance ties between the two nations.
Minister Mohsin Naqvi extended an invitation to the US Congress members to visit Pakistan.
He praised the contributions of the Pakistani community in the United States, noting their significant role in various sectors and their efforts to bolster both Pakistan’s economic recovery and the US economy.
The event was also attended by Pakistani-American businessman Tahir Javed and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh.
