WASHINGTON, Nov 8 (Alliance News): US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller emphasized the importance of a peaceful transfer of power as a cornerstone of American democracy and national security.
Speaking during a briefing, Miller reiterated that ensuring a peaceful transition is vital for the stability and security of the nation.
In response to concerns about the ongoing situation in Gaza, Miller noted that the US has enough time to work on securing the release of hostages and preventing the conflict from escalating further.
When asked by a journalist about the potential involvement of former President Donald Trump in securing the release of PTI founder Imran Khan from jail, Miller declined to speculate on the outcome of elections. He emphasized that such matters would not be discussed or predicted at this stage.
On another topic, Miller addressed the US’s commitment to Ukraine, stating that efforts are underway to allocate and provide the necessary funds to Ukraine before the end of the year.
