ISLAMABAD, Nov 5 (Alliance News): Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage, and Culture, Attaullah Tarar, expressed optimism about Pakistan’s youth leading the nation to prosperity through hard work, resilience, and determination.
Addressing the National Youth Summit as chief guest, Tarar commended Pakistan’s talented youth for their significant contributions to national development and global representation.
Reflecting on Pakistan’s founding principles, Tarar emphasized the role of youth in achieving freedom under Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s leadership.
“Our youth, inspired by the vision of Allama Iqbal, played a crucial role in the independence movement,” he remarked, adding that the youth carried the Quaid’s message across the subcontinent.
Acknowledging challenges posed by climate change, he urged youth involvement in efforts to mitigate environmental impacts, citing Pakistan’s recent losses from natural disasters.
He also applauded young Pakistanis’ strides in the digital field and highlighted government initiatives to empower youth in policy-making, economic strengthening, and technology.
Tarar emphasized the importance of gender equality, commending young women for their achievements and calling for more efforts to ensure they play a larger role in nation-building.
In light of the recent Gaza conflict, the minister announced that Pakistan had admitted 200 Palestinian medical students into its institutions, condemning Israeli actions as genocide and calling on the UN to act.
“The international community must pressure Israel to end the invasion,” he stated, reiterating Pakistan’s support for a free Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders.
Tarar concluded by underscoring the role of youth in advocating for global peace and justice, encouraging them to work towards a peaceful future for all.
