ISLAMABAD, Nov 20 (Alliance News): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of 12 security personnel in a terrorist attack in Bannu.
In separate statements, both leaders paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives while eliminating six terrorists during the attack.
President Zardari praised the armed forces for their dedication, stating, “The whole nation salutes the soldiers for sacrificing their lives for the security of their motherland.” He reiterated the country’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed that the nation would continue its fight against terrorism until it was fully eradicated, stating, “The sacrifices of the nation’s soldiers will never be squandered.
The Fitna Al Khawarij (terrorists) who threaten the lives and properties of the people will face a heavy price.”
He also prayed for the martyrs’ elevation in paradise and for strength for their families to bear the loss.
