ZHONGSHAN, Oct 10 (Alliance News): An international delegation of communication experts and foreign media representatives visited Zhongshan’s leading enterprises under the ‘The World Comes to Zhongshan’ initiative, highlighting the city’s advancements in key emerging industries.
Organized by the CICG Academy of Translation and Interpretation, the tour introduced the delegation to Zhongshan’s innovations across hydrogen energy, biopharmaceuticals, communication technology, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturing.
A major stop was Sinoscience Fullcryo (Zhongshan) Equipment Manufacturing Co Ltd, where the delegation learned about a large-scale hydrogen liquefier capable of producing five tons of liquefied hydrogen daily. This facility, developed with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, solidifies Zhongshan’s position as a global leader in hydrogen energy technology.
At the Zhongshan Institute for Drug Discovery, the delegation was briefed on over 60 new drugs in development, with seven undergoing clinical trials. The institute aims to create a national-level biopharmaceutical research platform that integrates research, technological innovation, and industrial incubation.
The delegation also visited Tongyu Communication Co Ltd, renowned for its pioneering base station antennas that ensured 5G connectivity during the Hangzhou Asian Games. Tongyu has a strong global presence, with production bases and branches in multiple countries and its products used in over 60 nations.
At FCourier, a leader in UAV and AI technology, the delegation observed test flights of advanced UAVs used in firefighting, public safety, and energy inspection. FCourier’s expansion into Middle Eastern markets showcases Zhongshan’s growing influence in the global UAV sector.
Zhongshan’s emphasis on innovation and high-end manufacturing across sectors is positioning the city as a key global player in cutting-edge technology.
