ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (Alliance News): Javelin star and Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem revealed on Monday that he has received offers from several countries to represent them, but remains steadfast in his commitment to Pakistan.
In an interview with a private news channel, Nadeem shared, “I’ve been offered to represent countries like UAE, UK, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, but I declined. My heart belongs to Pakistan, and I want to play for my country, no matter the challenges.”
Although Nadeem is currently serving as a brand ambassador in Uzbekistan, he affirmed that he rejected their offer to compete under their flag.
Arshad Nadeem made history by winning Pakistan’s first Olympic gold medal in 40 years at the Paris Olympics. He expressed his deep gratitude to the nation for the overwhelming support and the hero’s welcome he received.
