SYDNEY, March 5 (Alliance News): Australia’s star batter Steve Smith announced his retirement from One Day Internationals (ODIs) on Wednesday following his team’s exit from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
In a statement to Cricket Australia, Smith reflected on his career, saying, “It has been a great ride and I have loved every minute of it.
There have been so many amazing times and wonderful memories. Winning two World Cups was a great highlight along with the many fantastic teammates who shared the journey.”
Smith, one of Australia’s most prolific batsmen, leaves behind an illustrious ODI career, having played a key role in Australia’s successes on the world stage.
