Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim Given Guard of Honor at PM House, Meets Shehbaz Sharif for Bilateral Talks

ISLAMABAD, Oct 03 (Alliance News): Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim received a formal guard of honor on Thursday at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad as he arrived to meet his Pakistani counterpart, Shehbaz Sharif, for high-level bilateral discussions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed Anwar Ibrahim, who is on a three-day state visit to Pakistan.

The two leaders, along with their delegations, participated in the formal welcome ceremony where the national anthems of both countries were played.

The Malaysian prime minister reviewed the guard of honor presented by contingents of the Pakistani armed forces.

After the ceremonial greetings, the two leaders introduced their respective delegations before proceeding to bilateral and delegation-level talks, aimed at enhancing cooperation in various sectors.

In keeping with tradition, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also planted a sapling in the garden of the Prime Minister’s House to mark the occasion.
