ISLAMABAD, Aug 04 (Alliance News): The selection committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the national squads for the tour of Netherlands and T20 Asia Cup, from which Hasan Ali has been left out for the purpose of rest.
Pakistan team will participate in Asia Cup in United Arab Emirates after playing 3 ODI matches against Netherlands.
16 players have been selected for the three ODI matches against Netherlands while 15 players have been announced for the T20 Asia Cup.
Hasan Ali has been rested from both tours and replaced by Naseem Shah in the national squads.
Captain Babar Azam will lead the team in the ODI matches against Netherlands while the rest of the players include vice-captain Shadab Khan, Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Imamul Haq, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Wasim. Junior, Naseem Shah, Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shahnawaz Nawaz Dhani and Zahid Mehmood.
Babar Azam will lead the team in the Asia Cup to be held in the United Arab Emirates, while the other players in the squad include vice-captain Shadab Khan, Asif Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shahnawaz Dhani and Usman Qadir are included.
Mansoor Rana will be the team manager, Saqlain Mushtaq will be the head coach, Mohammad Yousuf will be the batting coach and Shaun Tait will be the bowling coach during the tours.
The Asia Cup will be played on the Arabian soil from August 27 to September 11, in which the teams of Pakistan and India will compete on August 28.
The final of the event will be played on September 11.
