ISLAMABAD, June 27 (Alliance News): Foreign Office of Pakistan has congratulated China on successful hosting of BRICS summit.
BRICS is an influential club in the world’s emerging economies, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
Beijing hosted the BRICS summit on June 23 and 24, with the countries representing more than 40 percent of the world’s population and about a quarter of the world’s gross domestic product.
This year, BRICS hosted a “High-Level Dialogue on Global Development” in which more than two dozen countries that were not members of the organization participated in the meeting.

In a statement issued on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit on “High Level Dialogue on Global Development”, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan stands with all developing countries, including the BRICS member states, in addressing the challenges facing the international community.
“We appreciate China’s role in promoting the interests of developing countries. Pakistan, together with China, has been a strong voice for global peace, common prosperity and comprehensive development,” the Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement.
Remember that Pakistan is the current head of the G77 Plus China and is also part of the group of friends of the Global Development Initiative.
