ISLAMABAD, Aug 27 (Alliance News): The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has announced the opening of the spillways of Rawal Dam on Tuesday at 4 pm. This action is being taken as a precaution due to rising water levels in the dam, according to the ICT administration spokesman.
Residents living near urban river channels are advised to avoid these areas and stay vigilant. Those in low-lying regions should take all necessary safety measures to protect themselves and their property.
In case of an emergency, the public is urged to contact the district administration by dialing 16. Livestock owners are also advised to move their animals to higher ground immediately.
The district administration is closely monitoring the situation around river channels and bridges, ensuring that all necessary preparations are in place to handle potential flooding and safeguard public safety.
