ISLAMABAD, Apr 22 (Alliance News): The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) launched its much-anticipated Spring Festival with a colourful and vibrant opening ceremony, attended by students, faculty, and international dignitaries in a joyous celebration of cultural diversity and global harmony.

Ambassadors, cultural attachés, and diplomatic representatives from various countries witnessed a rich display of Pakistan’s heritage through traditional performances from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, Hazara, Saraiki region, Sindh, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The event showcased unity in diversity, leaving international guests deeply impressed.

A poignant moment unfolded when all ambassadors stood in solidarity with Kashmiri students during their cultural parade—an emotional display of support for the people of Kashmir, highlighting themes of resilience, peace, and cultural pride.

Rector NUML, Major General (R) Shahid Mahmood Kayani, in his address, stressed the importance of cultural understanding and exchange.

The festival featured over 15 international cultural stalls from countries including China, Iran, Turkiye, Palestine, Indonesia, EU states, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. Visitors explored diverse cuisines, traditional crafts, and cultural displays, offering a glimpse into global traditions and lifestyles.
