Indian Army Chief's claim of ceasefire on the basis of force is misleading, DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD, Feb 03 ( Alliance News): DG ISP General Babar Iftikhar has said that the statement of Indian Army Chief regarding ceasefire based on force on the Line of Control is misleading.

In a tweet on social media DG ISP General Babar Iftikhar said that the Indian Army Chief’s statement that the reason for the ceasefire on the LoC was negotiations with India’s strong position was a misleading statement.

Indian COAS claiming LOC ceasefire holding because they negotiated from position of strength, is clearly misleading. It was agreed only due to Pak’s concerns 4 safety of people of Kashmir living on both sides of LOC. No side should misconstrue it as their strength or other’s weakness.

It should be noted that the Indian Army Chief has said that the ceasefire on the LOC is established because India negotiated from a strong position.
