LAHORE, July 15 (Alliance News): A free medial camp was organized by a local NGO (None Governmental Organization) Pechan Meri Pakistan here on Friday at Fountain House.
In this free medical camp, a team of specialists and senior doctors including Prof. Dr. Naveed Iqbal, Dr. Misha Khan and Dr. Halima Khan have provided consultation on Urology, Gynaecology and Psychological counselling and conducted free medical examination of the patients.


In addition to these examinations, the team of these doctors also prepared a report on the health condition of the low income groups of the city and distributed free medicines among them.
In an exclusive talk with Alliance News Correspondent, Chief Executive Officer of Pechan Meri Pakistan and the well-known social worker Shahida Naveed said that the initiative aimed at to provide free health care facilities to the needy people, besides creating awareness about the chronic disease.
She said that hundred of children and families benefited from this camp during which over 93 per cent people were found suffering with hypertension, blood pressure and mental health issues.
Replying to a question, Shahida Naveed said that under the platform of Pechan Meri Pakistan we are working to address the health care issues of the society and rendering services in far flung areas of the country where health care facilities is a rare Phenomenon.
Such free medical camps, she said that are playing a crucial role to identify the diseases like hypertension, blood pressure, diabetes, depression, mental health issues and other diseases which normally people are not taking them serious.
Air Vice Marshal Sajid Habib and Dr. Imran Murtaza grace the event as chief guest and distributed the certificates of honor among the doctors.
On the occasion, Dr Imran shared his sentiment and said that said that we as Pakistanis should actively participate in such social activities because the patients get a lot of encouragement in it.
He expressed hope that Pechan Meri Pakistan will continue to organize more such camps.
Among others, the event was also attended by the CEO Knowledge Hub, Ayesha Mahmood Butt, CEO LKF foundation Lailma Khan, Shadab Alam, Ramazan Abir and Rizwan Ahmed.
The camp was also visited by the members of Rotary Club Lahore and appreciated Shahida Naveed role for free health care facilities.
