Beijing, Nov 1 (Alliance News): Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, recently visited Linyi in Shandong province, where he met with Mayor Zhang Baoliang.
During their discussions, they focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors and exploring new trade and investment opportunities, particularly in logistics and training initiatives.
Ambassador Hashmi expressed Pakistan’s interest in leveraging Linyi’s expertise in logistics and customs operations.
The two officials also talked about enhancing collaboration in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), emphasizing that a stronger partnership with Linyi would bolster the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and foster shared prosperity through mutually beneficial projects.
As part of his visit, Ambassador Hashmi toured several key facilities in Linyi, including the Linyi Import Commodity City Mall, Linyi International Trade Centre, and Linyi Logistics Park.
He received comprehensive briefings on the latest developments in trade facilitation and logistical infrastructure at each location.
The visits highlighted Linyi’s strategic importance in regional and global trade, showcasing how its advanced logistics capabilities can serve as a model for trade and economic cooperation.
Recognized as one of China’s largest logistics centers, Linyi plays a vital role in both domestic and international commerce, facilitating the movement of goods through its modern infrastructure, including Linyi Port.
The city is also a key participant in China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), creating vast opportunities for economic partnerships with countries like Pakistan.
