ISLAMABAD, Mar 02 ( Alliance News): US President Joe Biden has warned his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that the Russian president has no idea what will happen next.
According to foreign media news agency, the US President announced the closure of US airspace for Russian flights and in his ‘State of the Union’ speech against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a rare demonstration of unity. Led by Democratic and Republican lawmakers.
Joe Biden called on Democrats and Republicans to stand together and send a clear message to Ukraine and the world.
The remarks by the US president came as Western nations tightened their economic grip on Russia, whose invading forces bombed Ukrainian cities and appeared ready to advance on Kyiv. ۔
Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have fled since Vladimir Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine about a week ago, as a Russian military convoy several miles north of Kyiv prepares to advance on the capital.
Despite Russia’s failure to take full control of any of Ukraine’s major cities, Western analysts say Moscow appears to have backed away from the tactics used to build buildings before entering Ukraine. The possibility of catastrophic shelling was indicated.
In his State of the Union address, Biden said, “He (Russia) may benefit on the battlefield, but in the long run it will pay a heavy price.”
Biden added that he did not know what was going to happen.
He did not elaborate.
Many of the American lawmakers who stood and applauded Biden’s address to the House of Representatives were waving Ukrainian flags and wearing the country’s blue and yellow colors.
He criticized Vladimir Putin, saying the Kremlin leader had misjudged how the results would turn out and that Russia’s economy was collapsing, with Putin solely responsible.
He said the Russian president thought he could enter Ukraine without hindrance, but he faced a force in the case of the Ukrainian people that he had never imagined.
He said that the fearlessness, courage and determination of every Ukrainian citizen, including Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, has affected the world.
