ISLAMABAD, April 11 (Alliance News) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive mediatory role in promoting regional and global peace, as he held a high-level meeting with an Iranian delegation in Islamabad amid ongoing diplomatic engagements.
The meeting took place as part of the Islamabad Talks, where Pakistan is facilitating dialogue aimed at easing tensions and encouraging diplomatic solutions to pressing regional challenges.
The Iranian delegation was led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Assembly, and included Abbas Araghchi, according to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing.
During the meeting, the prime minister appreciated Iran’s engagement in the Islamabad Talks and underscored Pakistan’s sincere resolve to continue its efforts as a mediator.
